McAllister HouseThe Front Range Herb Society designed, planted and continues to maintain and improve the heritage herb gardens as a community service project for the historic McAllister House Museum (www.McALLISTERHOUSE.org/), the original home of Major McAllister, an early prominent figure in Colorado Springs.  Planted in the garden are several varieties of garlic, basil and thyme, along with anise hyssop,  borage, burnet, calendula, chives, curry, dill, Echinacea, fennel, germander, kale, lavender, lemon balm, lemon gem marigolds, lemon verbena, lovage, marjoram, mint, parsley, pineapple sage, rosemary, rue, sage, savory, shiso, society garlic, sorrel, tarragon and violas.

The Society also participates in the August Ice Cream Social, an annual event of the Museum Committee of McAllister House.  It is held on the beautiful grounds of the property.
